This Refunds and Returns Policy applies exclusively to merchandise purchased through the Stars Championships online store.
Merchandise may include clothing, accessories, souvenirs and other physical products made available for purchase through our website.
This policy does not apply to event entries or event entry fees.
IMPORTANT – EVENT ENTRY FEES ARE NON-REFUNDABLE
All Stars Championships event entry fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. This includes, but is not limited to, cancellation by the customer, non-attendance, illness, injury, change of circumstances, withdrawal from an event, travel problems, timetable changes, or any other reason.
Event entries are separate from merchandise purchases and are processed through our external event-entry provider, Entrymaster. Any terms relating to event entries are separate from this merchandise Refunds and Returns Policy.
3. Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to remove or limit any legal rights you have under applicable UK consumer law.
Where merchandise is faulty, damaged, incorrectly described or otherwise does not meet the requirements of applicable consumer legislation, you may have legal rights to a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund, depending on the circumstances.
Nothing in this policy affects your statutory rights.
4. Changing Your Mind – Unwanted Merchandise
If you purchase merchandise online and simply change your mind, you may generally have a legal right to cancel your order under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, subject to applicable exceptions.
Where the statutory cancellation right applies, you normally have 14 days from the day after you receive the goods to notify us that you wish to cancel.
After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you will normally have a further 14 days to return the goods to us.
Returned merchandise should be unused, unworn and in its original condition, with original packaging and labels where reasonably possible.
We reserve the right to make deductions from a refund where the value of the goods has been reduced as a result of handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
5. Exceptions to the Right to Cancel
Certain goods may be excluded from the statutory cancellation right under UK consumer law.
For example, this may include merchandise that has been personalised or made to the customer's specifications.
Where an exception applies, we will make this clear at the time of purchase where required.
6. Personalised Merchandise
Personalised or customised merchandise that has been made specifically to your requirements may not be eligible for cancellation simply because you have changed your mind.
However, this does not affect your statutory rights if personalised merchandise is faulty, damaged, incorrectly supplied or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
7. Faulty or Damaged Merchandise
If merchandise arrives faulty, damaged or otherwise does not meet the requirements of applicable consumer law, please contact us as soon as reasonably possible.
Please provide your order number and, where appropriate, photographs showing the fault or damage. This will help us assess the issue and arrange an appropriate solution.
Depending on the circumstances and your legal rights, we may offer a repair, replacement, price reduction or refund.
8. Incorrect Merchandise
If we have sent you the wrong item, incorrect size, incorrect product or an item that does not correspond with your order, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please provide your order number and details of the item you received.
Where we have made an error, we will work with you to arrange an appropriate solution, which may include replacement of the incorrect item or a refund where applicable.
9. Merchandise That Is No Longer Wanted
If you no longer want merchandise that you have purchased, please contact us within the applicable cancellation period where a statutory right to cancel applies.
Unless the merchandise is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise covered by your statutory rights, you may be responsible for the cost of returning unwanted merchandise.
10. How to Request a Return or Refund
To request a return, refund or other remedy in relation to merchandise, please contact us using the contact details available on our website.
Please include:
- Your full name.
- Your order number.
- The merchandise you wish to return.
- The reason for the return, where applicable.
- Details of any fault, damage or incorrect item received.
- Photographs where they may help us assess the issue.
We will provide further instructions where a return is required.
11. Returning Merchandise
Where we ask you to return merchandise, please package the item securely so that it is protected during transit.
Unless otherwise agreed, merchandise should be returned in an appropriate condition and with any original packaging, labels or accessories where reasonably possible.
You should obtain proof of postage when returning merchandise, particularly where you are responsible for the cost of return.
We cannot be responsible for merchandise that is lost in transit where you have arranged the return yourself and cannot provide evidence that it was sent.
12. Return Costs
Where you are exercising a statutory right to cancel an online merchandise purchase because you have changed your mind, you may be responsible for the direct cost of returning the merchandise unless we have agreed otherwise or applicable law requires us to pay those costs.
Where merchandise is faulty, damaged, incorrect or otherwise does not conform to the contract, we will deal with return costs in accordance with your statutory rights and the circumstances of the case.
13. Refunds
Where a refund is due, we will normally issue the refund using the same payment method used for the original purchase, unless otherwise agreed or permitted by law.
We will not normally charge you a fee for processing a refund.
Where you have exercised a statutory right to cancel, we will refund the applicable payments within the timeframe required by law.
Where appropriate, refunds may include the standard delivery charge originally paid for the order. Additional charges for an enhanced or premium delivery service may not be refundable where permitted by law.
14. When Refunds May Be Withheld
Where you cancel an order under a statutory cancellation right, we may be entitled to make a deduction from your refund if the value of the goods has been reduced because they have been handled more than was reasonably necessary to establish their nature, characteristics and functioning.
This does not affect your statutory rights in relation to faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied merchandise.
15. Exchanges
We may offer an exchange for merchandise where appropriate, but exchanges are not guaranteed unless required by law.
If you require a different size or item because you have changed your mind, please contact us and we will advise whether an exchange is available.
If the merchandise is faulty, damaged or incorrect, we will deal with the matter in accordance with your statutory rights.
16. Sale and Promotional Merchandise
Merchandise purchased during a sale or promotional offer remains subject to the same statutory consumer rights as full-price merchandise.
A reduction in price does not remove your legal rights if an item is faulty, incorrectly described or otherwise does not conform to the contract.
17. Merchandise Purchased as a Gift
If merchandise is purchased as a gift, the rights relating to the purchase normally belong to the person who placed the order.
If you are returning a gift on behalf of the purchaser, we may require the original order information before processing a refund or other remedy.
18. Delivery Problems
If your merchandise does not arrive within the expected delivery timeframe, please contact us so that we can investigate the delivery.
If an item is lost, damaged or otherwise affected during delivery, we will investigate the matter and take appropriate action in accordance with our obligations under applicable consumer law.
19. Incorrect Delivery Address
Customers are responsible for providing accurate delivery information when placing an order.
If an order is returned to us because an incorrect or incomplete delivery address was provided, please contact us so that we can discuss the available options.
Additional delivery charges may apply where a new delivery is requested as a result of incorrect information supplied by the customer, subject to applicable law.
20. Merchandise Payments – Tyl by NatWest
Payments for merchandise purchased through our website are processed using Tyl by NatWest.
Refunds will normally be processed back to the original payment method used for the transaction.
We do not normally have access to or store your full payment card details. Payment information is handled by the relevant payment service provider in accordance with its own terms and privacy policy.
21. WooCommerce Orders
Our online merchandise store uses WooCommerce.
Order information is used to process purchases, manage orders, arrange delivery, provide customer support and administer refunds and returns.
Your order number should be included in any communication regarding a return, refund or problem with your merchandise.
22. Event Entry Fees – Important Notice
EVENT ENTRY FEES ARE COMPLETELY SEPARATE FROM MERCHANDISE PURCHASES.
All Stars Championships event entry fees are NON-REFUNDABLE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.
This includes, without limitation, cancellation by the participant, withdrawal from an event, non-attendance, illness, injury, personal circumstances, travel difficulties, changes to availability, change of mind, timetable changes or any other reason.
Event entries are administered separately through Entrymaster, our external event-entry service provider.
Any payment made for an event entry is not a merchandise purchase and is therefore not covered by the merchandise returns and refunds provisions of this policy.
Purchasing merchandise does not create or imply any entitlement to a refund of an event entry fee.
